Did you know!

A gal. Of E85 fuel costs 14% less then regular gas, but yields 25% less MPG.

Our Federal Government subsidizes $.51/gal.of Ethanol produced in this country. Without this each gal. of E85 would cost more that regular gasoline.

If all the property taxes are paid Railroad Township. would receive $19,208.00/year (+or-). Hardly enough to pay for the road upgrades needed to support the traffic.

Income to Starke County generated by employment(of this ethanol Plant)would be $12,720.00 based on 1.2 million in payroll only if every employee lives in Starke County. What are the chances???

BioMass, used to fuel the incinerator, can be wood, animal waste, garbage or processed human waste from municipal sewer plants. Anything biodegradable.

During an interview with Governor Mitch Daniels on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, anchor Stacy Page asked the governor for his views on
Milford's opposition to the proposed ethanol refinery. Two quotes from his response: "Local people should have the determination",
and "These things should never go where local folks truly, sincerely think it will subtract and not add to the quality of life".
